With the trial of Courtney Clenney expected to begin in April, we’re revisiting several key pretrial hearings that show how the case has been developing in the months leading up to trial. Clenney, a former OnlyFans creator/model, is charged with second-degree murder in the April 2022 stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christian Obumseli, inside their Miami high-rise apartment. Clenney has maintained that she acted in self-defense, claiming she threw the knife during a violent argument. The stream includes three important hearings from the pretrial phase: February 22 Hearing This motions hearing addressed several key evidentiary issues ahead of trial, including disputes over expert witnesses and recorded evidence. The court ultimately denied a defense motion seeking to exclude a prosecution expert witness.
