Hi friends you get this unusually quickly bc i was up all night w/ homework and needed something else to do. enjoy~ This chart is based on the US iTunes top 100. Unlike services like Melon, that have weekly charts, iTunes updates the chart on an hourly basis w/ no daily, weekly or monthly charts. So, what I've done is I've written down the current top 100, daily, around midday, and entered that into a spreadsheet. Based on that data over 7 days, I take the highest rank for each song, and use that to determine the 30 highest peaking songs this week. I use the average to decide which song comes first when more than one song peaks at the same rank. For example, BTS's Danger ranked the following from Sunday to Saturday: 16 - 16 - 21 - 19 - 16 - 21 -18: the highest rank is #16, and the average rank is 18.14. So this song will come after songs that peaked at #17 and before songs that peaked at #15. Additionally, Cherry Bomb also peaks at #16. but its average is 19. So Cherry Bomb will appear first in the video (#24) and Danger second (#23). NEW RULES for tiebreaking songs with the same peak: The more days a song stayed at that peak, the higher it is. For example, Gashina was #1 for 5 straight days, while Ko Ko Bop was #1 for only one day, so Gashina ranks first. Songs that enter the chart midweek will automatically rank lower than songs with the same peak. For example, Blood Sweat and Tears entered the chart on the 25th, so only charted for two days, #10 and #4 (Avg:7). Meanwhile, The Eve charted all 7 days, also peaking at #4 with the average of 7.86. While BST's average is higher, since it only charted for two days, it ranks lower than The Eve. I know this is all really confusing. My intent here is to just show in a numerical, algorithmic way, what the most popular songs are on itunes on a weekly basis. Hopefully you can still enjoy the chart even if you dont understand it completely~ Intro 1: BTS - Just One Day Intro 2: April - April Story Outro: BTS - Young Forever fonts used: http://www.dafont.com/znikomitno24.font http://www.dafont.com/kenyan-coffee.font http://www.dafont.com/artbrush.font http://www.dafont.com/roboto.font http://www.dafont.com/lemon-milk.font (And Arial)
