BEFORE COMMENTING ON THE WELFARE OF THE ANIMALS: Thank you for your concern. I take the ownership of animals very seriously. (Personally I feel that guinea pigs should not be sold in pet stores - they are exotics and require a great amount of care and maintenance.) Harold and his pig friend Bert (not seen here) lived long, happy lives and were very much loved. Long before the felines arrived, I'd adopted both piggies after seeing them on Petfinder. (Be assured, the organization they came from was very thorough in vetting me and even performed a home check.) The "kittens" are 10 years old now and all are well. (Backstory: Maggie was a pregnant stray. I was going to do whatever I could to help her. She moved in with me, and quickly acclimated to the apartment I lived in at the time. About two weeks after taking her in, she delivered 7 healthy kittens. Every one of them were found loving, forever homes. Two of the kittens, Fiona and Liam, live with me. They are doing great and enjoy a very cushy life.) Before the kittens were born, I introduced Maggie to Harold and she didn't display any aggression or hunting instincts. Eventually Harold was able to run free a lot of the time with Maggie and there were never any issues. When she had her kittens, I introduced Harold to them, too (as seen in this video). Because Maggie wasn't bothered by him, eventually the kittens followed her lead, and all lived together in harmony. Note: I would never suggest putting a guinea pig with a cat! This was a unique situation, and neither the cats or the guinea pig were ever hurt or upset. In fact, I think their interactions enriched their lives. ♥️ **Original Description** Seven five-week-old kittens get a visit from Harold. Apologies for the video quality--it's terrible at the beginning but does get better. (This is from 2014 and I had a junky phone.)
