A full engineering analysis with a 100% automotive sound deadening and stereo upgrade using secondskin, Pioneer, and JBL on my Toyota Tacoma. Is sound deadening worth it? This video does an in-depth analysis of the before and after performance using a scientific approach with instrumentation. The products I use include Second Skin with their Damplifier Pro, Luxury Liner Pro, Mega Zorbe, and OverKill Pro as well as the Pioneer AVH-2550NEX with the Pioneer 4-channel amplifier (GM-D1004) with JBL GTO Premium 939 (GTO939)and 609C (GTO609C). The test was completed using Campbell Scientific CR1000X and Granite10 data acquisition systems coupled with a decibel meter, digital camera, and Blue Yeti microphone. This analysis looks at the before and after performance of sound deadening and upgraded stereo performance.
