The Simpsons Game (2007), story mission Bargain Bin, part 19 of Bman's playthrough. The alien invasion of Springfield continues, and the mothership descends on the little town. When Kang and Kodos decide to destroy Springfield the Simpsons family decides to up their game by searching Internet FAQs for The Simpsons Game walkthroughs. Unfortunately, Homer spills beer on the computer and the whole family is sucked back into the game engine, because if Electric Dreams taught us anything it's that spilling alcohol on a computer makes magic happen. Here they find Will Wright, creator of Sim City and The Sims, bent on destroying an older, obsolete 8-bit version of the Simpsons family. The existential horror of being trapped in a video game finally catches up with the Simpsons family and they decide to save their 8-bit selves. Homer and Bart must race through the game engine in order to save the 8-bit Simpsons from incineration at the hands of the maniacal Will Wright. Along the way they collect all of the video game cliches and Krusty coupons, and all but one of the Duff bottle caps.
