The J-Bar at Burke Mountain Vermont is a short surface lift that extends over most of the beginner area of Burke. The lift was built by Hall in 1965, and was originally installed below the Mid-Burke Lodge where the old learning center once was. At some point it was re-located to the lower mountain beside the Sherburne Express, where it stands today. J-Bars in general are very rare, and to see one still standing and in operation is very unique.
