Gate closing after car passes STORYLINE: Hundreds of mourners packed the streets of Rafah refugee camp on Saturday for the funeral of three Palestinians killed during an Israeli military operation. The three men were among seven Palestinians killed on Friday. Two children were also killed, caught in the crossfire when Israeli troops moved into the camp to search for weapons smuggling tunnels between Egypt and Gaza. Unlike previous raids in the area, the military has said it might stay several days. Violence continued into Saturday as Israeli troops battled with gunmen for a second day. Armed gunmen were also among the crowd of mourners on Saturday, firing in the air and calling for revenge. In Ramallah, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat held closed-door meetings with his prime minister and officials from his Fatah faction to try to resolve a political dispute over a new Cabinet. The wrangling has held up parliamentary approval of the new government, leveling a major blow to Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia, whose success is crucial to efforts to salvage the US-backed "road map" peace plan. The stalled plan outlines a path to ending three years of fighting and creating a Palestinian state by 2005.
