This is Hellion's live show in 1990. Sadly, just as the band was peaking, the mainstream media turned its back on anything associated with the 1980s. This is an interesting show because the arena where it was held was very cold and was also a hockey arena. When Hellion's guitarists walked onto the stage, the change in temperature from the (warm) backstage area to the cold stage, made the guitars go out of tune. You can hear the guitars change tuning in this song. Sadly this is a problem on this song, which is why Hellion's management previously did not post this video on YouTube. There were other problems, too. In 1990, people in the USSR had to line up to get food. There were coffee shops, convenience stores, or fast food restaurants. Most professional musicians were married and had their wife's wait in line at grocery stores to get food -- when food was in the stores. In 1990, no other American rock band had embarked on a tour of the USSR. It took significant effort on the part of many people to make this tour occur. The promotor was not sure that Hellion would be able to get visas, or make it past customs. When Hellion arrived, the food situation became apparent. For the first several days, the band members, who were accompanied by security guards, ventured out on their own to find food, water for the stage, and beer for after the shows. The concerts were occasionally held in hockey arenas, or other sports arenas. The show following this concert was at Moscow's Olympic Arena, which is the largest indoor arena in the world. The stages in the Russian sports arenas were often very cold, or even moist, inside. The stages in Russia were sometimes unusually slippery. Ann Boleyn usually wears boots on stage. However, when she first set foot on this stage at sound check, she fell. She had no other footwear except for tennis shoes. And, there were no stores to buy other shoes or boots. A Russian clothing designer, hearing about the problem with the shoes arrived. Since he was unable to locate boots that Ann could buy or borrow, it was decided that Ann would go barefoot. The designer, however, gave Ann the purple scarf/belt, and the scarf that Ann is using as a headband in this video.
