The old post office has been converted into a pub by the same name and is still Tøyen Torg's largest pub with its own stage. There are a lot of people in the urban spaces at "Tøyen", not just here in the square. Many people who live in the district carry with them a culture of using outdoor spaces more as a social meeting place, and this is partly also about cramped living conditions and poverty in the area.
