Regrooving is a process in which grooves in a tire are re-cut, using a hand-held tool, (in my video I am using a heated tire groover) to a deeper level to restore up to 5mm of tread depth. Regrooving is a practice that unlocks additional service life to truck tires and can provide up to 30% extra mileage. The end result of regrooving is affected by the quality of the new tire and the skill of the regrooving technician. From my garage I'll show you how to repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including maintenance, air brakes, tires, driveline, steering and suspension, and overhaul and engine rebuilds.
