In this video, I prepare a Turkey berry (chundanga) stir fry for morning rice porridge (kanji) and a delicious Pearl spot fish (karimeen) masala wrapped in banana leaves (Karimeen Pollichathu) for lunch. I received fresh Turkey berries (chundanga) from my neighbor’s home. This ingredient is a little tricky to prepare, as it can turn bitter if not cooked properly. But with the right method, I was able to make a tasty and perfectly balanced stir fry, which pairs beautifully with rice porridge. Later, Rajan brother brought some fresh Pearl spot fish especially for Nami. She was very happy and excited! I prepared it in a traditional style by marinating the fish with spices, wrapping it in banana leaves, and cooking it as Karimeen Pollichathu. This is a very famous Kerala dish, loved by all Malayalis. In this video, I’ve tried a slightly different style to make it even more special. Both dishes turned out to be very delicious, and we truly enjoyed this meal together. I hope you all enjoy watching this village-style traditional cooking experience.
