For some species the demand is so great that they now battle extinction. In one seizure alone in 2014 20% of the native population of a single species was discovered in one suitcase at Bangkok international airport. Helping the Thai authorities’ combat this global trafficking trade is the Freeland Foundation. Based in the heart of Bangkok this international NGO, helps governments fight the illegal wildlife trade by using former specialist law enforcement officers from the UK and US to help bring cases against these criminal kingpins.
