Scroll down: Here is a quick review of my Ford Focus ST Line X. This covers some of the parking assistance pack features which I got extra to the X pack. The X pack comes with a 10 speaker B&O sound system, special finish seats, ski hatch, silver gear knob, 18'' two tone alloys plus I go over a lot of the other features. Rear view when reversing, lane keeping assist, it also has many menu options for lane keeping, speed and collision alerts. Map menu can be pinched to view the world, it can have an almost empty 'calm' screen if you prefer no disturbances. I have the optional Parking Assistance Pack here. OK Ford allows you to speak instructions to the car which is useful when it functions. Some things it cannot do but you can plug in Alexa and other features that I do not currently have. I show the car parking itself but please exercise all necessary precautions when using this and look around, use the mirrors. That should go without saying plus Ford issue plenty of warnings. Boot space size is from other videos. This car is in Desert Island Blue. NOTE: As from 11 months old, the 60amp 12v battery (the normal one, not the hybrid one) keeps showing a Low Battery message. According to the Fords General Service Bulletin (GSB) this is regular behaviour, and they say not an error message (so why display it in red colour?). Apparently the car is notifying you, and several hybrids are on this GSB. It will then switch off systems as and when it deems fit such as Auto Hold, Lane Keeping, and Parking Assist. Even the interior light won't come on, all safety things I feel. I'm not impressed. I've been back to my Ford main dealer in Great Yarmouth three times now. They report a few of these cars come back for 'low' milage users. I did over 7,000 miles in the first year and I don't consider that low. None of my other cars have ever complained. But the battery usage is so high and perhaps the battery isn't large enough to cope with the demands. Ford even recommend coasting to charge the car up? As if I'm an F1 driver! Even when Fords charged it to 99%, it then sat on my drive for three days and the battery then read only 63%. I cannot see a light on. I disable the auto start/stop. The weather is mild so even the electric seats and heated steering wheel are not in use. And yet it still suffers. The battery is covered for 3 years. But it reports ok to Fords. Do I change the battery for a super-make, and just avoid Ford batteries? Music from Bicep JM Jarre as featured in music demo. Internet search 'Calvertfilm'.
