How to Make NASA Space Shuttle Launch Diorama - 1/288 Space Shuttle Discovery

In this video you will see how I build a scale model of the Space Shuttle Discovery at launch. Based on the decals included in the kit, I used Space Mission STS-51 launched in 1993 for reference. The model kit is from Doyusha in 1:288 scale. To paint the Space Shuttle I used paints from Tamiya, Ammo Mig, AV Vallejo, AK Interactive, Winsor & Newton, and probably others. Also used polystyrene sheets, foam board, clear straws, 3v LED filaments, a wooden box, cotton and other materials. The assembly of this kit is easy and straightforward, some sanding and filling was done but overall it's a nice model of the Space Shuttle. The kit comes with decal names for Space Shuttle Enterprise, Columbia, Challenger, Endeavour, and Discovery. A display base or Launch Platform is included in the kit too, which I modified to allow the lighting system through and suspend the Space Shuttle illuminating the Rocket Boosters fire stock.
