Found this Taj Mahal VHS at a record store for 2$ and decided to capture it. I do not own the rights to this music, this is for educational purposes only. Play Speed Errors (4:30 - 5:10) Taj Mahal has been performing African-American roots music for thirty years. Son of a West Indian jazz musician and a South Carolina gospel singer, Taj is a self-taught master of more than a dozen instruments, including guitar, piano. harmonica, banjo, and mandolin. He emerged professionally in 1965 as co-founder (with guitarist Ry Cooder) of THE RISING SONS and quickly came to prominence as of our most versatile interpreters of blues in the broadcast sense - from funky to sophisticated. He has recorded numerous albums as well as soundtrack music for several films and plays. Taj's repertoire draws from American blues, jazz, and Southern folk as well as the music of the Caribbean and West Africa. Titles include: Cakewalk Into Town, Fishin' Blues, Sweet Home Chicago, Take Me Back Baby, My Little Sugar Mama, Going to Chicago, Six Days on the Road, Dance Dance Dance, and That Dood It Backing Musicians: Bass - Tony Jones; Drums - Kester Smith
