20th May 2024, Trascăului Mountain, Romania. Summary; An Exercise to demonstrate how rapidly the Jet Suit can deliver a defibrillator to a a mock casualty 1000m up on. mountain ridge. The usual MR response is 2+ hours. The Jet Suit achived the scent in 2 minutes flight time. ---- This is a very successful collaboration between Gravity Industries and the General Directorate for Civil Protection under the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) - Ministry of Internal Affairs, Romania, delivering a very powerful demonstration of life saving Critical Care response in challenging terrain. The extreme terrain of the Trascăului Mountain is a hotspot for tourists throughout the year. With elevations exceeding 1000 metres the local Mountain Rescue response team are pushed to their limits when receiving emergency callouts; with a typical response time of 2.5 hours on foot. On the 20th May, located in the stunning and dramatic Transylvania Region, Richard Browning, Gravity CEO, deployed from a DSU emergency response vehicle and flew the 500 metre elevation to the casualty location point with a flight time of 2 minutes dramatically reducing the overall response which is typically 2 hours 30 mins for this location. For Critical Care cases such as cardiac arrest, as simulated in this exercise, every minute counts. Richard Browning says ‘It has been a huge privilege to demonstrate the ground breaking capability of our equipment in such fantastic surroundings with a wonderful team of local Mountain Rescue and DSU.
