Ameen Mudassir, the founder of Covid Helpline Bengaluru broke down in a video clip that went viral on 19 April. Mudassir said that he cannot handle the pleas of those in need of oxygen, hospital beds and #Remdesivir injections in Bengaluru. He requested people not to step out as "COVID-19 has wreaked havoc in the city". But the Karnataka health department is in denial. Minister Dr K Sudhakar told media on 19 April that there is no shortage of oxygen and that the state is making arrangements.
