FEDERA LAKE (Lago Federa) | Episode 7 | SHOOTING the DOLOMITES (SUB ENG/ITA) | Leo's Photo Guides

If you type "Autumn in the Dolomites" on Google, chances are that you will get a gallery of images taken around this lake. The Federa lake is, without any doubt, one of the most iconic views that you can enjoy if you visit the Dolomites during the fall season. And for reason I'd say! The lake is surrounded by larches, a conifer tree that looses its needles during fall: just before loosing them, it turns into golden - and that's when the spectacle happens. All around this lake you'll enjoy wonderful reflections, with the striking color combination (if you are lucky!) of the blue sky and vibrant oranges from the larches. If you throw in the mix the gorgeous Becco di Mezzodì (the mountain) too - well.. That's the perfect recipe for some stunning pictures! In this video, I'll extensively talk about the several compositions you can get all around the lake, the different options you have about how to arrive there and obviously when is the best time to visit (spoiler - you might have an idea already!).
