Speakers Ella Harris: Author of 'Encountering the World with I-Docs' and an expert in creative research and ‘crisis cultures,’ Ella Harris discusses how Interactive Documentaries (I-Docs) create non-linear storytelling pathways that challenge dominant narratives and amplify diverse voices. Su-ming Khoo: A Senior Lecturer in Political Science and Sociology at the National University of Ireland, Galway and co-editor of the forthcoming 'Creative Research Methods Journal', Su-ming Khoo explores how creative methods intersect with decolonial, feminist and anti-racist research, pushing the boundaries of traditional knowledge institutions. Heidi van Rooyen: Professor and Chair of the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington and co-editor of 'Poetic Inquiry as Research', Heidi van Rooyen introduces Poetic Inquiry, a creative research approach that allows for deeper exploration and expression while centring decolonial perspectives. Meet the Chair Helen Kara is a researcher, author, teacher, and speaker specializing in research methods—particularly creative methods—and research ethics.
