This week’s Song of the Week is another classic from the great Billy Joel — my piano/vocal cover of “Uptown Girl.” While Billy Joel wrote this song as a tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, it was truly my Four Seasons growing up in the 80s. I couldn’t escape it — and honestly, I never wanted to. This one is especially meaningful to me. I’m dedicating this performance to a dear friend of my family who recently passed away. I remember hearing this song many times growing up at his home in Laurel Canyon, and those memories will always stay with me. This is for you, Jeff Wilhelm, with so much love for you and your family.
