2016 Ford Focus Titanium: road trip through the Southern Highlands | A CarAdvice Feature

It’s no secret that at CarAdvice.com we love a good road trip and there are plenty of places to explore around Sydney. We’re starting at Bondi and my weapon of choice is the Ford Focus I’ll be driving is the Titanium specification. This is a lifestyle launch and over the next couple of days I’ll get to know the car while driving between scenic locations, and maybe tick a few things to see, do and eat off of the bucket list. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and the two-day adventure starts with breakfast at Icebergs in Bondi. There’s a lot to see and do, with a challenge or two along the way and I’ll share some road trip tips too. With sunrise and breakfast done, it’s time to hit the road. Finally free of the urban snarl, the road through the Royal National Park twists and turns and the Focus Titanium handles the corners well. There’s also time to get comfortable, play with the infotainment system, check out the safety features and put the foot down a little bit. Then the awesome Sea Cliff Bridge comes into view, it never gets boring and takes your breath away every time. The structure stretches its way out over the water, with spectacular views and a smooth sweeping drive. Once you’re over it – turn around and do it all again. From there it’s on to Coledale Beach for a coffee, then to Mount Keira where there is an echidna foraging around the edge of the car park. There are plenty more adventures involved in this trip, including a blind parking challenge, a hidden gem to stop at and dynamic driving exercises in the Ford Focus Titanium.
