In this video, I embarked on an experiment, utilizing a 3D printed part as a mold for crafting carbon fiber components. While the endeavor faced technical challenges resulting in the destruction of the mold and suboptimal carbon fiber weave alignment, it proved to be a valuable learning experience. Despite not achieving a flawless outcome initially, I gained invaluable insights that informed the refinement of my approach for future attempts. Armed with newfound knowledge, I successfully applied these learnings to produce a superior second set of carbon fiber parts. Looking ahead, I am eager to implement further enhancements for the next iteration. Plans include the creation of templates to facilitate the creation of seamless carbon fiber pieces, coupled with the strategic application of additional release agents such as release wax and PVA. This proactive approach ensures that each step is meticulously executed, setting the stage for even greater success in my future endeavors.
