There are two requirements to having a patron. 1. You must own all three abilities of the deity you want to select as your patron. 2. You must spend 2 million gold to unlock the ability to select a god as your patron. This is a one-time payment. After that, you can switch to another patron without having to spend gold again. What exactly does having a "Patron" mean? You can assign "Patron Points" to the Health, Strength, and abilities of the selected deity. This will provide specific boosts according to how many points you have invested in them.
