The SAAB Viggen was a Swedish Cold War Interceptor (JA37 family), but also received ground attack variants (AJ/AJS-37 family) that were known for being able to fly low and fast, which was especially important for a 60s era fighter/bomber. It has even been confirmed that the Viggen is the only aircraft to have radar locked and caught up to a damaged SR-71 flying at extremely high speeds, just showing the power that the Viggen's engines had. It is also the first aircraft with the double-delta wing which provided benefits at high speeds, but caused frequent compressor stalls when performing high-alpha maneuvers during a dogfight.
