This video is the first part of my analysis of 'Excerpt from "The Prelude"' by William Wordsworth, which is part of the WJEC Eduqas English Literature Poetry Anthology. TO MAKE IT REALLY CLEAR, THIS PART OF THE POEM IS THE ICE SKATING SCENE Different GCSE exam boards look at different parts of the poem. In this video, I cover the poem's context, give a brief overview of what is meant by 'Romanticism', and begin to analyse its language, imagery, and structure, which I hope should give you plenty of useful notes for your GCSE studies! Links for the 'What is Romanticism' slide: 1) https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/feat... 2) https://wordsworth.org.uk/wordsworth/... 3) https://www.britannica.com/art/Romant...
