While in the office, the boss offered his girlfriend the velvet box, thinking the jewel was still inside. When the girl saw that there was nothing there, she got angry. She walked out of the office, kissed a random guy, and told Liam that they were done.  He soon found out what happened to the ring. He demanded that Kate go with him and explain everything to his fiance. But as the two were on their way, there was a blackout.
