The operation, carried out on February 12, 2026, was led by the Ghana Police Service through the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team, with support from Combat Teams and the Surveillance Unit. Officers stormed a location at Pokuase-Afiaman and uncovered what is believed to be a large-scale cyber fraud hub, commonly known as a “Yahoo Boy” base. Several suspects were allegedly caught operating computer systems suspected to be used for international internet fraud. Police say the group operated under a structured hierarchy, with some members enforcing control over trafficked individuals.
