Supreme Court Big Decision 2026 | Oral Property Agreement Not Valid Without Strong Proof

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has delivered an important judgment clarifying the law regarding oral agreements for sale of immovable property. In this case, the plaintiffs claimed ownership based on an alleged oral agreement made in 1992 through a reconciliation committee after a criminal dispute. The lower courts decreed the suit for specific performance; however, the Supreme Court set aside all judgments and dismissed the suit.
