This is not your typical college experience story. This is the true story behind every single vlog uploaded on this channel throughout the past four years. After four years at an ivy league institution attending the top business and nursing school, I didn’t land a consulting job at the big 4, I didn’t get hired at the top hospital, I didn’t get a post-grad job at all, I didn’t get a 4.0, and I didn’t meet my future husband. Rather, I was grade-obsessed, I was career-obsessed, I was lonely, I had existential crisises, I struggled with mental health, I got rejected by both companies and people, I messed up some relationships, and I chased after all the things that Penn and the world could offer me. You see, by the standards of this world and society, I’m an unsuccessful college graduate. But I actually found something far more important. “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. The story behind this video: I was bored out of my mind at clinical one day and I got the idea to make a video recapping my time in college to find closure before graduation. I began typing and before I knew it 3 hours had passed and I had written out 13 pages of thoughts. Then, over spring break I had the idea to add clips from each year and my favorite soundtracks and go to all my favorite places on campus. I created the outline of the video over break and was so excited to film the rest on campus, but I didn't have time to film since nursing clinical was so busy. This was supposed to be my April passion project. But the day right after nursing clinical ended, I got so excited and filmed all the clips in one afternoon, then I edited it all in a night and uploaded it all in a night and that's when I realized... I'm a workaholic. (this is why I can't be a consultant) Jokes aside I am very very proud of this video, as well as proud of myself for all the ways I have grown and changed throughout the past four years.
