It will include basically, my entire MSTS game which I play, and everything in it. It should be a long 10-minute video (which includes crashes too!). Everything will be tweaked from the settings and downloads I have in THIS video! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Q: How do you get multiple trains running controlled by the computer (AI/Artificial Intelligence)? A: You'll have to use Activity Editor in your MSTS Editors & Tools, a tutorial is available at one of the URLs below. Q: How do you make your own train layouts (consists)? A: It was quite hard to find, but it's actually in Activity Editor. You can edit consists to your layout within this editor, you don't have to save the activity if you want to keep your consist. OR you can use an easier way with ConBuilder, available by clicking a URL below. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Note that this is a re-upload of the last video, that's why it has "-copy" in the title. The high-quality video sometimes didn't work, and annotations didn't appear, so I thought of re-uploading it. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Wow! This took over a day to make and upload to YouTube! I had decided to make an MSTS video, the first one about crashes. I had downloaded some activities the same day from train-sim.com, then I had downloaded FRAPS so I could record footage. It worked out perfectly, however, the file sizes were 100-300MB each, I didn't mind until hours later... I tried using WMM on the computer I had caught the footage on, our ultra-fast HP laptop. WMM kept freezing and closing, I had downloaded a new version for the computer but it didn't work. That's when I had attempted to move the files. My removal disk drive is a nifty thing I use to move files between our house's four computers. Unfortunately, I had just learned the file sizes of my FRAPS clips, hours later, I had remembered about the SD card in my Wii. It has 2GB maximum of storage space, and I happened to have an SD card reader lying around. I used it, and it worked out perfectly with no problemos. That was the beginning for the next chain of problems; the second-main computer (which is laggy) is our old Compaq. I had installed WMM on it a year ago, and it works fine. Since the computer is old, WMM could not take the file sizes of the FRAPS clips, after hours of trying, it was time for bed, and I didn't think I'd ever be able to upload the video. The next day (July 24, 2008), was the opposite. I had remembered the Compaq in the bedroom that my (jerky) brother and I share, since he had stolen the HP laptop, as well as my own. I had moved the FRAPS files with no problems. I also installed the latest version of Movie Maker for Windows XP (since a project file on Vista is not supported on earlier WMM versions). After 30 minutes, (20 minutes to convert to an uploadable file), I could finally upload it to YouTube! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I'm quite aware that the wording from WMM somewhat ruins this video, in my future video (My MSTS, and NOT MSTS Crashes (#2)), I'll try removing it and replacing with video annotations, as they take up less screen space, and are good for missed-parts to alert viewers! If any overlay wording is added at all, it will be in a darker color, so it's easier to read. So here I am, about to upload to YouTube (again)! Hopefully people can actually read this o_O (am I talking to myself?)? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Helpful URLs: http://www.train-sim.com/ -Most helpful MSTS download site http://www.railserve.com/Computers/MSTS/ -Secondary download site, a lot of files at this site are also available at train-sim.com as well. http://www.conbuilder.3dtrains.com/cb... -ConBuilder (Lite), a great Consist editor, the Lite version is free, you can still make consists, my Activity Editor was not working at the time, so I was desperate, this thing was just perfect! There's also ConBuilder Pro version that costs $15 but isn't as limited. http://www.fraps.com -Suggested screen recorder for computer games, such as FSX, MSTS, etc. Not recommended for browser games. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Program Credits: Microsoft Microsft Train Simulator Windows Movie Maker/Media Player FRAPS =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
