FLIGHT DETAILS: Airline: Singapore Airlines Airport: Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 Departure Gate: Gate 114 Flight Date: July 26, 2019 Seat Number: 67A Scheduled Departure Time: 7:40 AM Philippine Standard Time Actual Departure Time: 7:55 AM Philippine Standard Time Flight Time: 2 Hours 54 Minutes AIRCRAFT DETAILS: Aircraft Type: Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Age: 0.4 Years Registration: 9V-SCK Engines: 2 x Rolls Royce Trent 1000 Seat Configuration: 3-3-3 I finally was able to experience Singapore Airlines’ first flight out of Manila bound to Singapore on flight SQ915. There are lots of challenges on this flight but I am glad to have made it. First challenge for me is the departure time, its way too early for me. I have to leave the house at 3AM just to make it in time. Second challenge, this flight was overbooked! And because of overbooking, it caused a bit of delay. Singapore Airlines offered access to SilverKris Lounge and SGD250 voucher for anyone who is willing to give up their seat and be assigned to the next flight which is at 2PM. It was a good deal to be honest and I almost gave up my seat, but then again, I thought of the reasons and efforts I made just to be on this flight, so I decided to stay and be on this flight instead. Overall flight experience is still good despite the delay. I am just so amazed as on how Singapore Airlines made up for the delay by changing up a little bit of their inflight services however, the quality of the service was not compromised. I am talking about the hot towel service in particular. Normally, hot towel service started as soon as all passengers were seated, but for this flight, it only started once the seat belt sign was turned off after take-off. It was just impressive! The serving portion of the inflight meal may look small but I guarantee you that its so filling and it was so good. It was a full flight thus I can imagine how tiring it is for the cabin crew but their level of professionalism is outstanding. The smile on their faces stayed on while attending to every passenger’s needs. This is the reason why I love flying with the world’s best airline.
