This is an audio example of the Rootiply restoration system which algorithms are using statistical estimation based on several copies of the same recording. The purpose of the Rootiply project is to create and implement digital signal processing methods to improve the sound quality of old gramophone records by using several flawed (scratched, worn by use, materially aged etc.) copies of the same original recording. Current restoration techniques are often based on improving the best available copy. A restoration technique using only one copy of a recording cannot restore recording content that is no longer there. This is why we believe that the Rootiply method is the only true audio restoration method for old gramophone recordings – it enables reductions of individual flaws and noise without loosing any parts of the original content. The more individuals that are thrown into the process, the closer the sound converges towards the original studio recording. Interested in becoming a customer or investor? We are now ready to receive our first order. Maybe you have a recording that you would like to have restored? One area of interest could for example be to restore a song for a movie, where requirements on audio quality are high. Rootiply can do magic with the sound even when there is only one worn record available; by digitizing the one individual several times using different types and sizes of needles and then applying our unique filters.
