Welcome to the 2024 Doggie December FINALE! This December was very special, with each video featuring a unique guest. For the final video, I beat a 2-player demon with... well, myself. I decided to take on the task of beating Codependence Solo. In my opinion, there's no better way I could've ended the year with a hard completion while staying true to the collab theme, and I'm more than happy with how everything turned out this month. I hope those who never solved the puzzle didn't see this one coming :) And if you're interested, I will soon post a video explaining every part of the Doggie December puzzle on my second channel, ‪@doggiedasherclips‬ So, this was a very different experience than what I'm used to. It's very overwhelming when you're learning it and it just feels really unnatural. I feel like I got used to it as I learned more though. Surprisingly, the gameplay solo is some of the most accidentally fun gameplay I've every played, but a lot of it is ruined by how inconsistent it is, because after all this was not built to be played by one person. By the end, the only fun parts for me were the last dual (88%) and the 5th dual (56%) because those were the only parts that I could maintain consistency with. Everything else was a major headache after I got 88%. I was constantly getting mind blocks and it's really difficult to fix your muscle memory on a level like this without worsening the mind block, so for the most part I just decided to ignore it and hope for the best. This was obviously really frustrating to deal with but it worked out in the end. As I mentioned in the video, this level is so poorly made. I've genuinely never played a level this buggy and the hitboxes are just awful at every turn. I already noticed this when I beat Codependence with Trick but dealing with it on my own was a hassle. I'd say the hardest part is the 4th dual (45%) but that actually got pretty consistent. A close second would be the 3rd dual (31%) and I hated this part with every bone in my body. The 6th dual (68%) was one of my least favorites as well because it just wasn't fun and that ship at 75% is a complete lottery. I don't know if the deadline was stressing me out or something, but after I got 88% my experience started to go downhill, and I ended up really not liking this level. I think that's all I have to say. I'm really glad that I was able to do this because it's a pretty unique completion to have. I hope this motivates some players to give it a shot.
