Santa Monica California, is the beach city soul of Los Angeles and with less than 24 hours to explore this iconic beach town we had no time to waste! We take an evening stroll down Third Street Promenade and quickly stumble across Carlo's Bake Shop so we can't resist buying some cake to take back to our hotel. For dinner we head to Bruxie Waffle, one of Jason's personal favourites, where we tuck in to chicken & waffles before a surprise from the staff. The next morning it's off to Santa Monica beach and on to the pier for those Instagram pictures with the Route 66 sign before we head in to Pacific Park to ride the iconic roller coaster and Ferris Wheel.
