The Saint Umar Inter College hosted its Annual Function Program for the academic year 2024-25, showcasing a diverse range of performances and speeches that highlighted the talents of both students and teachers. The evening's program included 17 events, filled with music, dance, drama, and speeches from esteemed guests. The program began with the Annual Function Opening Ceremony, followed by a beautiful rendition of the song By the Rivers of Babylon led by Shehnaz Mam. The cultural performances continued with a captivating Classical Dance by Anjali Mam and a creative Puppet Dance choreographed by Zoha Mam. A welcoming atmosphere was created through a heartfelt Welcome Song by Anjana Mam. Thought-provoking performances such as Old Age Home by Subiya Mam and the play Parents directed by Salma Mam touched on social themes, evoking emotional responses from the audience. The audience was energized by the dynamic Maxing Dance by Prerna Mam, followed by the lively English Dance (Dreamers) again directed by Salma Mam. A vibrant Punjabi Dance by Pooja Arora brought colorful energy to the stage, showing the diversity in dance styles. In addition to the performances, speeches were an important part of the program. The Principal addressed the audience with inspiring words, followed by a modern Tutting dance by Imran Sir and a calm and meditative Yoga session led by Rajeev Sir. Empowerment was a major theme, highlighted by Kanchan Mam's performance on Women Empowerment, emphasizing the role of women in society. Following this, Manager Sir delivered a motivational speech, preparing the stage for the Story of the Army play by Shubham Sir, which saluted the nation's soldiers. The program concluded with a prestigious Speech by the Chief Guest, leaving the audience with a sense of pride and reflection on the evening’s cultural and educational value. The function was a grand success, showcasing the dedication of Saint Umar Inter College's staff and students in putting together a memorable evening filled with learning, entertainment, and inspiration.
