Mortal Kombat X: New Rain DLC Character Possibilities & Discussion! (Mortal Kombat XL)

Mortal Kombat X has had it's fair share of DLC character with the release of the Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2 DLCs. However, there's a few characters that weren't included in those DLC packs that are continually asked for by the fans and MK community. Of these characters, one is Rain. Sadly, the man behind the inspiration that led to the name Rain, Prince, has just passed away. When news broke, many fans, including MK fans, were torn. However, this has now led to the fans asking Mortal Kombat creator, Ed Boon, for Rain as a "tribute" to the iconic pop-star. As of now, not much as been said other than a tweet with an image of NetherRealm Studios' mokap room. Take this for what you will, but the mokap room's lights were changed to purple. Though this could simply be an act of respect for Prince, there might be a valid argument that NetherRealm might now decide to dedicate Prince's honor with a character in Mortal Kombat.
