Composition, baroque lute: Naochika Sogabe Chiaroscuro - Impressive depiction of light and shadow - this is the typical characteristic of Baroque painting, as we can see in the paintings of Rembrandt or Caravaggio. Music in this period also depicts chiaroscuro in different methods, as Rembrandt expressed with a wide variety of brush techniques, etc. In Baroque painting, light is emphasized through the depiction of shadows. In this piece I use chromatic progression, dissonances and also Wolf intervals. But this way I tried to make the pure, radiant harmonies sound even more radiant with the dark sound presentation.
