Bimini at 25.6 MPH, Our Wild 5 day Island Adventure During Hurricane Melissa

We spent five unforgettable days on the island of Bimini in the Bahamas where life runs on sunshine, saltwater, and golf carts (that top out at a blistering 25.6 mph, more on that in the video). Our Airbnb sat just feet from the ocean, letting us wake up to crashing waves, the kind of sea breeze that makes you forget the rest of the world exists and glowing sunsets every night. Between eating, drinking, exploring, and joyriding our “high-speed” golf cart, we had front row seats to massive cruise ships attempting to dock while the winds and waves from Hurricane Melissa forced them back out to sea. It was five days of pure island chaos as well as good food, good drinks, great company, and the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure and conch salads right on the water’s edge. November 2025
