The 2006 World's Strongest Man (WSM) competition featured 25 elite athletes from 14 countries who qualified through the Strongman Super Series. The winner was American strongman Phil Pfister, the first American to win the title since 1982. The competition took place in Sanya, China, from September 14–23, 2006. Top 10 Finalists Ten competitors reached the final, which consisted of seven events.
