The @OpenApi Initiative (OAI) has just released two new versions of OpenAPI: 3.0.4 and 3.1.1. As you can tell by the version numbers, these are not feature versions but simply improvements of the specification text. Here's OAI Technical Steering Committee member @LornaMitchell of @redocly explaining the new versions: 🎥 OpenAPI 3.0.4 and 3.1.1: What's new in the latest versions? - • OpenAPI 3.0.4 and 3.1.1: What's new i... My favorite aspect of the new versions is that they now have a clearer and easier to follow definition of terminology around the OpenAPI specification itself, OpenAPI descriptions, and OpenAPI documents. If you want to check out the new versions, here are pointers to the announcement and the two new versions: 👉 OAI Announcement - https://www.openapis.org/blog/2024/10... 👉 OpenAPI 3.0.4 - https://spec.openapis.org/oas/v3.0.4.... 👉 OpenAPI 3.1.1 - https://spec.openapis.org/oas/v3.1.1.... You may also wonder about OpenAPI versions providing new features. Currently, OpenAPI 3.2 and 4.0 (code-named "Moonwalk") are under discussion, but both of them are quite a bit away from being released. So for now, OpenAPI 3.0.4 and 3.1.1 are the versions that represent the most current specifications available.
