At first, I didn't want to get a Masters Degree. After graduation, I applied to multiple dental schools and was planning to follow up with my DAT score in August. I scored a 15 on my DAT not once but twice and I had a low GPA. At this point in time, I started looking for different options, and getting a Master's degree was the next step for me to get to where I wanted to be, which was getting into dental school. After doing my research I found that Barry University BMS program was the best program for me with the highest success rates, so that is where I applied to and got in. I went from a 2.7 GPA to a 4.0 student and that was only because this time around I directed all my attention and everything that I had to my academics. I gave it me all because I knew that in order to get to the next step I would need to prove to myself and dental schools that I am capable of scoring high is advances science courses like Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, Immunology, Oral Pathology, Neurology, Biochem's 1&2, ext... I highly recommend a Master's Degree to anyone out there who is going to Professional school. Specifically for all of you pre-dents our there, getting a Master's Degree really matures you as an individual academically and prepares you greatly for the rigors of dental school.
