Overdose (Advanced) 100% Heart Obtained This completes my 100% collection in Soundodger. So, apparently, after you get 100% on all songs, you unlock "Hyper mode". Turning it on makes everything really colourful, and your own cursor emits colourful trails, making things much harder to see. Now, about the song Overdose. I really like the song, but I think this is probably the most difficult song in Soundodger as it currently is, despite only being a level 4. I had previously obtained the heart through heavy slow-mo abuse. Hence the 13%+Heart record you see in the beginning of the video. The parts at 1:17 and 2:03 are very difficult to pull off consistently. The last section is comparatively much easier if you know what to do. 2:15 forces me to do a very daring trick of repeatedly diving into the middle of the screen where the bullets intersect. Tips: Even if you screw up, play through to the end! Restarting all the time will mean that you will end up being only familiar with the earlier parts of the song. You don't want to end up finally getting through a really difficult part only to realise you don't really know how to do the rest of the stage. I don't really know whether this really works, but at least in my case, moving around on the spot even though there are no bullets to dodge (like an athlete warming up) makes me more prepared to dodge bullets when they finally arrive. I do this at 2:03, making small circles with my cursor while not dodging bullets. I realise that doing this greatly increases my chances of survival in that cramped space. My theory is that constant movement allows you to be constantly aware of how much your character moves when you apply input (i.e. how much the cursor moves when you move the mouse). When a bullet comes, if you had lost this awareness due to remaining stationary, you would be hesitant to move out of the way due to a fear of moving too far off and crashing into other bullets. This hesitance could cost you to screw up even easy dodges. Note: These tips are in general for bullet hell games, not just Soundodger. And they are merely my opinions. If you have any opinions on them, I would like to hear your comments. Game: Soundodger http://games.adultswim.com/soundodger... Music: Overdose - North Base
