Cutting Aluminium on the YetiTool SmartBench CNC

In this video we tackle some 3mm 6061 aluminium plate. We kept the cutting in real time so you can see the performance of SmartBench, and retained the audio so you can hear how it cut with ease. We achieved excellent accuracy and cutting performance even with the X Upper Beam locked hovering above the work piece. We allows the Upper X Beam to rest and travel along some 12mm MDF planks on either side of the aluminium workpiece for support, so we could hover above our stainless steel clamps. We used cutting fluid periodically to ensure the tool bit and workpiece remained cool. We cleared excess chips from the cutter with compressed air.
