With three main villages serving the 3,000 students living in dorms at CSULB, each area comes with its own set of pros and cons. While each room can look a little different, especially in traditional or suite-style dorms, students always manage to make their room unique to them. Other dorms may use a box fan, but Beachside has AC: “The AC gets really cold, but it’s super nice because I have a lot of blankets,” Joyce De Leon, a first-year, biology major, said. Beachside is not on campus though, and hopping on a shuttle is required to get there. Other students prioritize closeness to their classes. “I think the biggest pro is definitely being close to campus,” first year, pre-nursing major Kaitlin Roque said about Hillside, which is the shortest walk to campus without taking the shuttle. When La Playa residence hall finishes construction in summer 2026, the five-story building will add 424 beds to campus. //////////////////////////////////////SOCIAL MEDIA////////////////////////////////////////// Subscribe to the Long Beach Current! https://www.youtube.com/user/lbcurren...
