If you are making a permanent change of station to Poland, you may want to bring your vehicle with you. The first step is to gather all the necessary paperwork. You must bring the original documents with you to Poland. It is very important that the documents are original. You will not be able to register your vehicle without them. The process is easy for vehicles already registered in the European Union. Just bring in your current registration documents. For vehicles coming from the USA or other places outside of the European Union, you must bring your current registration documents and your title. If you are making payments on the vehicle, you will need to bring a letter from your lender which authorizes the vehicle to be registered in Poland. All documents must be translated into Polish by a certified translator. We have a translator available at the Garrison headquarters in Poznan if you need one. Also, bring a copy of your orders or your letter of authorization, your drivers license, and your passport. Once you have all of these documents, you will need to scan them and send them as a PDF to the U.S. Army Garrison Vehicle Registration Specialist. You will meet them during in-processing.
