Having taken a fun trip to Lisbon, we took a day trip to Belem, only 30 minutes from central Lisbon. Belem in Lisbon is famous for its links with Portugal's Golden Age of Discoveries. Belem has many museums, famous monuments, beautiful parks and an attractive riverside setting with cafes and restaurants. In this video, we explored the Belem District, covering some main attractions, such as Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Tower, the Monument of Discoveries, and the museums. We also visited the famous Pastesis de Belem, known for the original Portuguese egg custard tarts, which are deliciously crispy and tasty. Later, we took a leisurely walk to the MAAT museum for spectacular breathtaking views of the Tagus River and Belem District.
