LD Celulose - New dissolving pulp mill

LD Celulose is one of the largest dissolving pulp mills in the world and started the production in April 2022, with a capacity of 500 thousand tons of pulp per year. Located in Indianópolis, Brazil, the new mill is a joint venture between Duratex and the Austrian group Lenzing. The company's numbers are impressive: the plant generates 1,040 direct jobs and investments were around US$ 1.38 billion. All production is exported to Lenzing factories in Asia and Europe, where the dissolving pulp is transformed into textile fiber with low environmental impact, which is later used in several essential products in our daily lives, such as clothing, hygiene products and food. Other applications of dissolving pulp are in shoes, hygiene and beauty products, varnishes, enamels, tires, medicine capsules, foods such as yogurt and ice cream and LCD screens.
