The winter trip to Krasnoyarsk, the capital of Siberia (although Novosibirsk also claims this title!), has begun! Imagine Krasnoyarsk, spread on both banks of the snow-covered Yenisei, connected by the famous Communal bridge, which, like the chapel of Paraskeva Friday on Karaula mountain, is decorated with 10-ruble banknotes. It is a journey through time and space: from historical buildings, such as the former Spiritual Seminary (1903), where Kolchak lived, and the Gothic Catholic Church of the Transfiguration of God (1910) with its organ music, to modern symbols of the city, such as Krasnoyarsk Big Ben. Our trip to the Krasnoyarsk region includes climbing on the Guard Mountain. Once a sacred place for the Yenisei Kyrgyz, Kum-Tigray preserves traces of ancient graves and opens up exciting views of the snow-covered city. From here you can see the Buddhist stucco - an unexpected touch in the Siberian landscape. A walk on the winter Krasnoyarsk will take us to the house-museum of Vasily Surikov, where the great artist was born and wrote "Taking the snow town". Crossing the Communal Bridge across the icy Yenisei, we will find ourselves on the island of Tatyshev - a winter fairy tale with trees, skating and snow-covered lakes. Krasnoyarsk is a city of contrasts: delicious tap water and, alas, the problem of "black sky". But the winter trip to this millionth city, lying on the shores of Yenisei, will be remembered for its history, nature and Siberian character. Have a good time!
