Yoga is so much more than the physical practice on the mat. Yoga is the science of enlightenment, of direct cosmic union with the supreme consciousness. A huge part of the yogic path is the code of conduct, the ethical guidelines to live the most conscious, blissful life possible. That is why the very first limbs of yoga as described by the sage Patanjali in the "Yoga Sutras", are the Yamas (moral disciplines or abstentions) and the Niyamas (observances). Living yoga means integrating it into every dimension of our lives. In this video, I will briefly introduce: The Yamas Ahimsa (nonviolence) Satya (truthfulness) Brahmacharya (control of pleasure and the senses) Asteya (non stealing) Aparigraha (living with minimal things) The Niyamas Saucha (cleanliness) Santosha (contentment) Tapas (austerity) Swadhyaya (study of self and scriptures) Ishwara Pranidana (surrender to the Divine) I highly recommend reading/listening to the Yoga Sutras yourself!
