We finally figured out how to get the last bit of standing water out of our bilge! Our main bilge pumps are there to bail out the boat in case of moderate unplanned water intrusion but, like all main bilge pumps, they sit a couple inches above the bottom of the bilge and leave residual water that invariably creates mold, mildew, odors, rot and ultimately damage. Not Cool! After looking at various Dry Bilge Systems and DIY solutions we decided that the value of the Seaflo Seaflo Dry Bilge System was more reasonable, well executed than other solutions like Arid Bilge, Rule Dry Bilge; and easier install too. The Seaflo 4 year Warranty was an added bonus and bumped out a DIY Dry Bilge System for us. @SEAFLO We did decide to add an electronic Water Witch Float Switch so that in addition to the timer, the system will now trigger on any excess unintended water accumulation in the aft bilge section, without flooding the forward bilge sections. Since we have 2 main areas that water accumulates in the bilge, we built another pick-up and plumbed it into the Seaflo Dry Bilge System, along with the supplied pick-up. But before we could install the System, we had to clean 10 years of scum from our bilge...
